COGC Pop-Up Shop

COGC POP-UP SHOP!!

Leaflet designed by Holly Anderson

Fancy a spot of guilt free shopping tomorrow, Wednesday 25th April? Well City of Glasgow College has just the thing: A Pop-Up Shop! Come along to the canteen in the Charles Oakly building at 12noon (lunch time) and get your hands on some second hand, vintage goodies for your wardrobe. The best part? It's all for a good cause: the proceeds will be going to Quarriers, who is our chosen charity for the fashion show on May 21st.
As I type, our girls are hard at work putting handmade labels onto the garments and getting the leaflets distributed around the college. It will be on a first come, first serve basis so you better get here early as you won't want to miss out on any of the items on offer...

In The Spotlight: Lucky Pops

Lucky Pops Apparel

Over at the lovely Bowjangles Vintage store in Paisley, our very own Paula Ferrier has been creating a range of tie-dye t-shirts alongside her sister Lucy to be sold in the store. The t-shirts come in a range of colours and have their very own hand made graffiti style tags. There are designs being drawn up at the moment in the hopes to expand into studded denims, dresses and more, so why not get over to the Bowjangles store now and get your hands on some of the t-shirts! If you can't get over to Paisley, then you're just going to have to attend the fashion show on Monday, May 21st, as there will be a pop up shop with Lucky Pops items on sale - You're not going to want to miss out on this!!

ATTENTION ALL MODELS!!

On Wednesday, 18th April from 1 - 2:30pm we will be holding a casting for all of you lovely looking people (males and females!) over the age of sixteen to come along and show us what your mama gave you. We need fun, enthusiastic, energetic and most of all, confident people to model a range of vintage day and evening wear for the fashion show on Monday 21st of May.
If you're interesting in this opportunity, come along to room 4/12 - fourth floor, room 12 - in City of Glasgow College, Charles Oakly building and see if you've got what it takes.
We are also looking for volunteer helpers, photographers and hair & make-up artists to help out at the event, so if you feel you have something special to add to the fashion show then please, come along and introduce yourself and your work.
Any other questions, need directions or just want to get in contact with us? send us an email at cogcfashion@hotmail.co.uk and we'll be happy to help!
